Hanse Golf confirmed its brand as a pure golf fair by the successful launch of the first stand alone edition last year, thus adding to the already growing reputation as one of Germany's leading golf events.
Hanse Golf is the Golf trade fair in North Germany. The number of exhibitors steadily increases in the past five years. The reason of this increase was not only the quality provided, but for the high reputation of the exhibition.

Around 100 exhibitors participated in 2005 while it increases to 117 exhibitors in 2007 from 9 countries.

Hamburg is „the cradle of golf sport“ in Germany. In 1907 the German Golf Association (DGV) was incorporated in the Hanseatic city. Furthermore Hamburg was the first city in Germany, in which golf was offered as an official school sport. Last year the number of German active golf players again rose up by 23.000. Consequently for sports Golf in Germany is ranked number two after football. Golf has been established as recreational sport in and round Hamburg. Every year the number of golf players are increases in the Northern Golf Associations Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Berlin-Brandenburg and Lower Saxony-Bremen.

Currently more than 120.000 active golf players and golf interested persons live round the golf metropolis Hamburg. More than 50% of all golf players book at least once a year golf holiday and spend more than 2.500 Euros per person, which makes Germany in the fore of Europe. Hamburg has the highest per income per capita in Germany therefore Hamburg golf player is one of the well funded client on the German golf market.

In the past few years up to 13.000 golfers have visited Hanse Golf.
